Skardu, the capital of Gilgit-Baltistan province of Pakistan, is a place of extreme natural beauty. Situated at an altitude of 2,438 metres (7,999 ft) in the Karakoram mountain range, Skardu is surrounded by some of the tallest mountains in the world, including K2, the second highest peak on earth. These are the best months to visit Skardu, as the weather is warm and sunny. Temperatures can reach up to 30 degrees Celsius, so make sure to pack your sunscreen! This is also the peak season for tourism, so expect crowds at popular attractions.


October-December: 

The weather starts to cool down again in October, and by December it can be quite cold, with temperatures often dipping below freezing at night. However, the days are still sunny, so it’s a great time to enjoy the outdoors.
